Student Session 2024: Fostering complementary teamwork towards One Health!

The 2024 student session endeavors to achieve complementary teamwork that is important on the road to achieving One Health, that includes human, animal and environmental health. It aims to improve the understanding of the One Health foundation components: communication, collaboration and coordination.
In this age of emerging and re-emerging diseases increase, absolute cooperation of the various sectors of One Health is required, to safeguard animal and human health. Decisions made in each sector are important and how resources are shared is cardinal in today’s economy. As experts in One Health, comprehension of how to navigate such situations is crucial.
To reach a healthy society and reduce health problems, we all must understand the scarcity of resources and how they affect decision making. Each component of One Health is important just as each body organ is important for organism functionality. This session will allow the participants to work together to cure a body by first solving the problem of its organs. It will help them understand how making decisions within each organ will overall affect the health of the body, thereby embodying the concept of how the three components of One Health work together.
